New KJA Financial website

Lightfish have just launched a new website for Leeds based financial adviser KJA Financial, part of the KJA Group.


The site is aimed at both personal and corporate clients and clearly helps users navigate through the site. Built in Perch a great CMS it allows ease of update of the site.

New brand identity for Avid Insurance Services

A new brand identity for Avid Insurance Services was just part of a wider project to re-launch the Avid Brand within the specialist insurance underwriting market.


Lightfish developed not just a new logo, but brand gudelines, stationery, email templates and a brand new website.

New website for Boutique Catering & Events - Harewood House operation

Boutique Catering & Events appointed Lightfish to produce a marketing plan to help promote weddings and corporate events at the Leeds based venues they manage, including Harewood House, Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds City Museum and The Tiled hall at Leeds City Art Gallery.


On agreement of the plan Tim Barber agreed a day a week's consultancy and project management - to come in as a part time senior maketing resource to manage a small inexperienced team.


Managing direct marketing campaigns, advertising, PR and social media campaigns was all part of the responsibility.


One of the key achievements so far has been the launch of a comprehensive, content managed website to promote the Harewood operation. The sales team have found this an invaluable resource and it has also generates regular direct leads.

Gloucester Old Spot - Customer research

Lightfish was commissioned to film research footage in store at M&S to ask customers their views on purchasing pork products and in particular M&S premium pork brand Gloucester Old Spot.

2 hours of video footage was then edited down into a 6 minute video with professional title sequences. Lightfish was responsible for choosing the relevant customer insights which fitted in with the key objectives/questions of the research.

The project was edited and approved within 24 hours of filming. There were minimal client amends and feedback was extremely positive.

Lightfish have conducted similar filming and research exercises on behalf of research agency The Cog for many other supermarket brands including Morrisons and Sainsburys.

Aviva Life - New Bids and Tenders template design

Recently Lightfish was involved with the creation of some newly designed proposal templates for Aviva Life in York. 


Producing professional proposal documentation is a niche area of work for Lightfish - who have helped Tata, Seimens, Engage Mutual, CPP and TD Waterhouse previously with their Bids and Tenders proposal design.


As well as template design, Lightfish can help with distilling complex information through clever graphics, cover design to give proposals a greater impact and mocked up collateral to help make offers real.


All in all, Lightfish help give companies "the edge" when it comes to bidding.

Good Proposal Design

Tim Barber presented at the UK Associal of Proposal Managers Northern Conference in July 2013.


The keynote speech was attended by Business Development Direcors and Bid Managers at some of the largest UK based companies such as Tata, Seimens and Aviva.


The presentation focussed on some of the reasons for investing in document design, before giving the audience some top tips whilst taking them through the 4 Principles of Proposal Design.

Broker Network Re-brand

Tim Barber and his Leeds based marketing agency Lightfish were recently commissioned on a month long marketing consultancy project to help facilitate  a rebrand at Broker Network.


The objective of the exrecise was to combine the existing Broker Network and Countrywide brands, to position themselves as "The" No. 1 Broker Network in the UK.


Working with a small team of seconded marketing staff and designers, work included defining the brand personality, values and essence before developing a new visual identity which could be presented to the Board.

Resuspod Video

Tim Barber have just project managed the production of a corporate and training video for Resuspod - the providers of a medical emergency pod for use in dental emergencies, as well as in sport or military use in the field.


Lightfish Marketing Project Management were involved from storyboarding the video, script writing, commissioning the production company, directing the shoot on the day and editing to the final draft.


Kate Taylor from Leeds Dental School and Director of Resuspod said " we were delighted with the end product, Tim made the whole process really easy for us and was very patient with our endless bloopers!"

The Cheeseboard Magazine

Tim has spent the last 6 months helping PCD agency project manage the launch of the UK's first online consumer facing cheese magazine - The Cheeseboard. The magazine aims to support the cheese industry and well as helping to educate the consumer on all things "cheese".


From website build & management, creative styling for the magazine, commissioning content (and writing editorial!), co-ordinating advertising and proofing and reviewing artworked spreads it has been a huge project taking up 1-2 days a week.

New corporate site for Molvino

Dubai based specialist drinks company Molvino Fine Wines & Spirits Company employed Tim Barber and Leeds based marketing project management agency Lightfish to manage the launch of their new corproate website.


Lightfish managed the design, copywriting and build of a dynamic new website.

Firestarter Vodka UK Launch

Lightfish was brought in by Firestarter Vodka to pull a team together to plan and manage the UK launch of this exciting drinks brand.


Pulling together a strategy within given budgets to maximise awareness and sales was key to the project. A local team of PR, Design and Social Media specialists was activated and Lightfish project managed all the activity.


Key to the project were consumer and trade websites, setting up social media profiles to maximise noise in the target market, email and direct mail to on and off trade purchased data.

New website for S4 Financial Ltd

S4 Financial Ltd contacted Lightfish after seeing the site I had produced for KJA Financial and wanting to work with a trusted supplier who understood financial services.

Lightfish scoped the site, produced the copy, designed the sight and managed it's implementation as part of a major re-brand and office move.
